Week 14

This week in science we talked about and used different types of materials than we usually do.

In class, we talked about different types of models and how those can be used in the classroom when a physical model cannot be used. With this being said, we did a experiment in class that had us try different models on the computer. In my group, we were testing why ice melts faster on a metal surface versus a wooden surface. After playing with the model and experimenting with it, we finally figured out how the model represents the relationship with the ice and metal, and the relationship with the ice and the wood. This was very interesting and helped us understand a lot!

After we got done with this portion of the experiment, we made a flip book to show our findings. Here are clips of our flip book:

In our video we have explanations to go with each page of the flip book.

After this week, I don't have a lot of questions in regard to the lecture content or the lab content. I think that everything makes pretty good sense, especially the models that can be hard to read sometimes.
